Terms of Service
Last updated: February 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using JamWise ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Description of Service
JamWise is an AI-powered educational music platform that creates curriculum-aligned music videos for K-8 students. The Service includes a library of pre-made educational jams, custom jam generation, classroom tools, and engagement tracking for teachers and parents.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Teacher accounts are for educators in K-8 settings. Parent accounts are for parents or legal guardians.
- Student access is managed through teacher or parent accounts — students do not create their own accounts.
4. Free and Paid Plans
JamWise offers a free tier and paid plans (Premium and School). The free tier provides full access to the jam library and core classroom features. Paid plans offer additional capabilities as described on our pricing page.
- Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $7.99/month and can be cancelled at any time.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
- School plan pricing is custom and governed by a separate agreement.
- We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
All jams, music, lyrics, artwork, and other content generated by or provided through JamWise are owned by JamWise or our licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive license to use this content for personal and educational purposes.
- Teachers may play jams in their classrooms, assign them to students, and use them as instructional tools.
- Parents may play jams for their children for educational and personal use.
- You may not redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit JamWise content outside the Service.
- Custom jams generated through the Service are licensed to you for educational use under the same terms as library content.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to generate content that is hateful, inappropriate, or harmful to children
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
- Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
7. Educational Use Disclaimer
JamWise is a supplementary educational tool. Our content is designed to support and reinforce curriculum concepts, not to replace formal instruction. While we align to standards (CCSS, NGSS, C3, CASEL), teachers should exercise professional judgment when integrating jams into their curriculum.
AI-generated content is reviewed for accuracy and age-appropriateness, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free. If you find inaccurate content, please report it to support@jamwise.app.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. We comply with COPPA and do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
9. Service Availability
We aim to keep JamWise available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. We will not be liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JamWise and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
